Entirely spiffing games of 2011

If I were to boil down the essential ingredients of what makes me like a game to just two elements, it would be: 1. They need to be fun. Sounds obvious but it’s remarkable how many don’t achieve this. 2. They need to conjure an interesting world.

Annoying things in games: Part 1

Given the current gloomy state of the global economy, this week seems like as good as any in which to grumble. Without further ado, I therefore present five of the most irritating things to be found in games.

PC Gamer recently released the yearly update to their Top 100 Games of All Time list and have also set up a rather intriguing bit of democracy in the form of a public all-time voting system.
